When my Bug just turned one, let me tell you, what an event it was. I had the most fun celebrating her first year on this earth with her. As a crafty, EXTRA, mom (I told ya’ll I’m very extra) I had to do everything and do everything BIG. We are in Texas after all. So this post is dedicated to everything Aria… in Onederland.
Taking every inspiration that I could from the cartoon itself, I went in. From the mome raths to the Queen of Hearts sandwiches to the the Mad Tea Party, everything was covered. We even had a fun time helping the Hearts paint the roses red. After the fete was over, I did not want to hear, “Off with her head!”
My husband and I were even Tweedle Dad and Tweedle Mom. I have a feeling, as 1-year-olds go, she had an amazing time.

1 – Let’s start with decor.
Like I said, I wanted to give a nod to the cartoon Alice in Wonderland, a cartoon that I loved when I was a kid so I had to pull out some heirlooms that I had when I was little and share. Of course there was a fabulous balloon arch, an area for the mome raths, the Cheshire cat and everything else under the sun.

2 – Eats and Treats.
The food was on another level, as far as toddler parties are concerned. Strawberry heart sandwiches, mini hot dogs, an assortment of chips and snacks, and desserts… yes, there were so… many… options. The dessert table was bananas. Did I mention the cake. Yes, I did it all myself. Check out Haute Caketure for cakes and cupcakes!

3 – Down the Rabbit Hole.
The party was a great success and everyone had so much fun! I set the bar pretty high here and it continues to raise itself. I hope you enjoyed the event.
