I’m Erika.
I love a beautiful moment, a well-set table, and a dessert that makes people pause mid-bite.
I didn’t come to baking through culinary school or white coats. I came to it the way most good things begin: curiosity, instinct, and a refusal to settle for fine when it could be fabulous.
Back in 2008, I started baking cakes and cupcakes for friends. They tasted good, sure—but that wasn’t enough for me. If it was going to be served, it needed to show up. Plain frosting turned into texture. Simple cupcakes turned into little works of art. Cake stopped being just cake. It became couture.
And just like that, Haute Caketure was born.
What I didn’t realize then was that baking was never just about dessert for me. It was about experience. Atmosphere. Presentation. The feeling people get when something beautiful is placed in front of them and they know—before the first bite—that care went into it.
That curiosity pulled me deeper. From cakes to full tablescapes. From desserts to entire gatherings. From “this looks nice” to “this feels unforgettable.”
I believe celebrations should be bold. Memorable. Slightly indulgent.
Circus party? Let’s flirt with a carousel.
Alice in Wonderland? Those roses better be red.
If there’s a theme, I want to bring it to life—not halfway, not politely, but fully.
And somewhere between the buttercream and the table linens, another idea started whispering.
